Ice Fishing in the Snow by Jake Miller

February 2008 our team 368 went on a winter campout up in deep creek Idaho. It was fun driving to the store and buying various food items but the last road we traveled on was jam packed full of snow and reeds Subaru got stuck in the ditch and so we had to pull it out and Curtis came up the “saying never trust a bald guy”. We arrived at the camping spot and spent a long time trying to get reeds car out because it was stuck again. But all was well we set up camp and got a fire going.

We started to search for a spot to do our snow cave but with no luck, so we decided to dig pits to put our tent in. Shane and Curtis dug a pit in a ditch but wasn’t very comfortable because it had a curve in it.

Dillon was foolish and did not bring all the right gear and almost froze to death, so reed got Dillon to jump in the car and turn the heater on to warn up. So we decided it was time to sleep and got in our tents and slept.

Mike and Curtis were lazy bums and stayed behind while the rest went fishing and Thorson one of the leaders caught the most fish while the rest were just jealous. In the morning there were other cars that got stuck in the snow and so reed says that his Subaru is just as good as all those other cars. Breaking camp was easy so we packed up and left.
